How can you promote Clear the Deck at your worksite?

  • Be on the lookout for posters and email blasts promoting Clear the Deck at your worksite. Request materials for your worksite here: info@gacommuteoptions.com.
  • Offer prizes for employees like doughnuts and coffee or a coupon for a free lunch at a nearby restaurant. Better yet, purchase promo codes for travel options such as Uber, Lyft, or Zipcar to give your commuters an even easier way to get around that week.
  • Take pictures of employees as they arrive to work and ask teleworkers to take a picture as they work from home. Use #ClearTheDeckATL and tag @GaCommute on social media.
  • And don't forget to post, share and have fun!

Every Space Counts!

We recommend including all parking spots in your count including handicapped, mothers-to-be, reserved, etc. If you are a multiple-building campus participating in Clear the Deck, you should submit one entry for all your parking spaces. If you wish to participate as separate buildings, create a separate entry for each building participating. Contact your Georgia Commute Options Worksite Advisor for help or guidance at info@gacommuteoptions.com.

How do you quantify your parking usage?
  • Calculate the number of open spaces and subtract from your total parking capacity.
  • Consider the time of day, especially if your employees are on shifts.
  • Gated or Badge-Access Parking: Look at previous usage for the same day of the week (avoiding holidays, weather disruptions, etc.) as the planned Clear the Deck promotion event.
  • Open Parking/No Gates: Choose the same day of the week (avoiding holidays, weather disruptions, etc.) as the planned Clear the Deck promotion event.
