A New Tool for a Cleaner Georgia

Georgia Commute Options Unveils MyGCO Online Platform and Mobile App

Georgia Commute Options (GCO), an initiative dedicated to promoting sustainable transportation , is thrilled to announce the launch of its new cutting-edge MyGCO online platform and mobile app on April 15. Powered by RideAmigos, this groundbreaking new platform will help metro residents explore alternative commutes, reducing traffic congestion and improving air quality across the region.

On MyGCO, commuters can log their clean commute trips — including telework, biking, walking, transit or carpooling — and track their impact over time. Key features of MyGCO include:

  • Carpool Matching: Connect with fellow commuters for carpooling opportunities—with new filtering capabilities to help users select carpool matches from among their own coworkers.

  • Impact Reporting: Users can see real-time updates of their cost savings and air quality impact with each trip logged.

  • Personalized Commute Planning: Users can receive customized commute recommendations, including public transit options, carpool matches, biking routes, and walking paths on their way to work.
  • Rewards and Incentives: Commuters can earn rewards and incentives for choosing sustainable transportation options, such as gift cards, discounts to local businesses and restaurants, and more.

“We are so excited for commuters to start using the new MyGCO to revolutionize their commutes,” said Roz Tucker, Managing Director of GCO. “The launch of MyGCO is the latest step in our mission to promote clean travel and foster a culture of sustainability throughout the region.”

MyGCO launches April 15, with an online platform and a mobile app available for download on iOS and Android devices. For more information and to stay updated on the latest developments, visit MyGaCommuteOptions.com.

About Georgia Commute Options: Georgia Commute Options, a program managed by the Atlanta Regional Commission and funded through the Georgia Department of Transportation, works with employers, commuters and schools to encourage drivers who ride alone to make the switch to a commute alternative such as riding transit, teleworking, carpooling, vanpooling, walking and/or biking, with the ultimate goal of reducing congestion and the emissions that contribute to smog pollution.
