Atlanta’s Pedal-Power Couple

Kris and Michelle Dunbar

When Kris Dunbar wanted to open his own bike shop, he sought out someone with the business savvy to help make it happen; someone who could help him navigate the miles of paperwork that stood between him and his dream. Little did he know he was getting much more than a business partner in that deal. Fast-forward four years and Kris and Michelle Dunbar are married and running an amazing community bike shop in Stone Mountain.

“As a kid, I always loved riding my bike, but never would I have thought that I would be riding again as an adult,” said Michelle. “But when I met Kris and was asked to help set up the business, I soon learned that I had a real passion for this business.” They both love to ride and help others share in that passion for cycling.

“The beautiful thing about cycling is that you can do it together and as individuals,” said Kris. “Michelle rides by herself sometimes, and I ride by myself, and we get right back together and ride with each other.”

That’s what #Biketober is all about. We are so happy to have Aztec Cycles as an Atlanta Bike Challenge sponsor. Thanks to Aztec Cycles you can win an awesome KHS Flite 280 when you ride and encourage your friends, family and coworkers to take part. In addition to donating one of our main prizes, Aztec is donating:

  • Unlimited free bike fittings
  • Mobile service waived ($25 value) for mobile repairs (10)
  • Discounted tune ups (normally $68 discounted to $45) (10)
  • Free bike rentals (10)

We encourage you to find out more about how you can win these and other great prizes, but most importantly show Aztec some love and check out what else they have to offer on their site. And of course, don’t forget to register, ride and encourage others all through #Biketober.
